Welcome to the Bedforview Community Police Forum
There is a huge emphasis placed by government on community involvement with the police. There is no doubt that crime is affecting all of us and the SAPS are facing serious challenges.
The Bedfordview Community Police Forum (BCPF) has been established for 17 years commencing in the Meadowdale area and now covering Bedfordview, St. Andrews, Essexwold, Morninghill, Senderwood as well as Meadowdale, Klopperpark and Elandsfontein. The success of the Bedfordview Community Policing Forum lies in our strong partnership with the Police, the local businesses and community in the area.
Our primary aim is to raise sponsorship to provide support and back up services to assist the police in decreasing crime and increasing the free flow of information between key players. The forum is a non-profit Section 21 company, a financially transparent audited concern. This is funded by local businesses, as well as by members of the community who give their time freely to facilitate and manage projects in their sector. We therefore are appealing to businesses and individuals within the Bedfordview community to assist us financially.
CAN YOU AFFORD NOT TO BE INVOLVED? - Please contact us if you would like a presentation or a sponsorship form.

Victim Support Centres
Victim Support, with the help of well qualified volunteers, offer the community free counseling sessions should they have been a victim of crime, i.e. hijacking or domestic violence. We are extremely fortunate to host one of the most successful teams in Gauteng. Elandsfontein office 0732641401 or Bedfordview 0731896362
Domestic Workers Forum
The DWF is an initiative which has been successfully launched all over Johannesburg. The forum provides an environment where the domestic workers and gardeners meet on a monthly basis to be educated about crime and crime prevention. A key to this initiative is the senior management of the police attending the forum, and directly liaising with the grapevine of domestic workers and gardeners plus the link with Crime line 32211. There are 2 DWF meetings running in Bedfordview, Bedford Gardens and Bedfordview Central Domestics and Gardeners.
Training & Motivation of Bedfordview Police
The BCPF has facilitated training sessions for the police to assist members of our station in increasing their knowledge base and customer liaison, therefore building a great station. Emphasis has been placed on training in customer care, taking statements and detailed legal work.
BCPF Office
The BCPF office at the heart of the police station ensures that communication between the SAPS and community is on-going and transparent at all times. The daily operational functioning of the forum takes place here. We NEED email addresses to network around the community. Our interaction of information is a major crime deterrent in our area.
